Joomla 1.5 & vBulletin integration
Hello Everyone,
I have been using Joomla with SMF (Joomla 1.X with SMF 1.1) for a while now, and have minor issues here and there (but lots of them) that I needed to fix manually every once in a while. And, have been patiently waiting to have a stable/good "forum" integration Hence, I am planning to move to Joomla 1.5 with vBulletin, and really am desperate for a stable + properly (fast + stable : as much as possible) working forum integration. So, can you please recommend what is the best way of getting this? Which integration path should I choose? What component/module should I use, etc? Thanks a lot. |

This isn't for support, but for presales. You must have a licensed account linked to your forum account and post in a support forum here or at vBulletin.com.

Hi,
Just to clarify: The reason I am asking this is not to get support, but to get an idea about whether there is a viable + stable solution out there or not. This has been an open item for a while now, and if there is such an option available, I will purchase vbulletin. If not, I would rather not. And, on top of this, I was asked at vbulletin.com to post this question here. To be honest with you, it has been a very frustrating experience on both sides (joomla + vbulletin) to not get a viable solution for this for years. Both are very good+popular in what they do, and I am not the only one (believe me) that need some stable solution for this problem. Thanks. |

Someone said something in another thread about a jfusion plugin for joomla and vBulletin, but I've never seen it in use.
I used Joomla for a little while but since there was no integration for the two at the time, I moved to Wordpress for which there is a bridge hack here. Now I'm using vBadvanced CMPS. |

If you havent looked at vbdrupal yet (Works with Drupal and not Joomla), I strongly suggest you take a look at that.

My input on this is drop Joomla. I used Joomla for awhile and wanted to get rid of it. I got hacked a couple of times because of wholes and such in joomla.
