Thread Prefixes
Version: 1.6.2 vBulletin Version: 3.6.10 Developer: Michael (Mystics) Koenig (www.vbulletin-germany.com) Modification-Language: English & German & French (thanks to ReadWrite - Note: Readme has not yet been translated to french.) Install-difficulty: Medium File-edits: 5 Template-edits: 10 Brief Description of the Modification This modification allows your users to choose a thread prefix for each thread. To do this you are able to select an appropriate prefix from a list beside the title while posting a new thread - for example 'Help', 'Problem', 'Search' etc. This prefix will be displayed in front of the thread title. The result will be for example: Problem - I can't find this setting Problem is the thread prefix, I can't find this setting is the title of the thread. The prefixes displayed in this list may be defined by a moderator for each of his moderated forums (Forum Tools -> Manage Thread Prefixes); of course an administrator and a super moderator is allowed to do this for every forum. is it possible to set more than one prefixe for each title
The same way, if we do that is it possible to do a search on more than 1 prefixe? For example a title: [3.6.8][support] Need help blabla and example of the search: you can chose to search on 3.6.8 or suport or both of them at the same time, to have a result showing only thread having those 2 prefixes in the tittle thx for the help |

After updating from 3.6.8 to 3.6.9 i've the following problem (see screen)
the thread title is shifted in the prefix column, the thread author is listed below the ratings.. i've checked templates and php files, but the modifications are all in.. and if i start a new thread, i can choose a prefix - but if it's written, there's no prefix ?( anyone an idea? |

I so wish Mystics would update this mod for 3.7.0, even though an 'official' version is included in the standard software. The official version is very disappointing, and Mystics' mod features are far more user-friendly and flexible. I can't believe how few features vB's prefixes offer. Since Mystics received credit I don't understand why they didn't actually use more of his influence.
The most important things that are missing: - Ability to add/edit prefixes from within the Forum Tools dropdown. - Easy forum-by-forum prefix editing thanks to the above feature - Ability for moderators to add/edit prefixes. - Easy sorting while editing (alpha or other) In addition, I think the 3.7.0 admincp prefix editing options are clunky. Why do we have to add our own ID numbers for each new prefix and create sets and so on? I just want to create my lovely prefixes on a forum-by-forum basis and end things there, as before. ![]() |

Agree
I may hold off a bit on upgrading my vB *because* I prefer this mod over the vB 'official' version....... and the prefixing as it is *now* with this mod suits our purposes to a 't'. |
