You need to make the HTML yourself. Then put the HTML into the header template. I don't think there is already a hack for this, so you must write the HTML yourself.

It isn't too hard. Just put some html together and insert in to your header. You will need to create new class to control it, though.

All the hack is is setting the forums to be accesible by URL only. Then adding tabs that link to them in the header template.
