mysql erorr

i need your help guys,
i keep getting this error when registerting with arabic names,

Invalid SQL:

SELECT COUNT(userchangelog.changeid) AS change_count
FROM userchangelog AS userchangelog

LEFT JOIN user AS adminuser ON(adminuser.userid = userchangelog.adminid)
WHERE userchangelog.fieldname = 'username' AND change_time >= 1171263098 AND (userchangelog.oldvalue = 'الضربة القاضية' OR userchangelog.newvalue = 'الضربة القاضية');

MySQL Error : Illegal mix of collations (cp1256_general_ci,IMPLICIT) and (latin1_swedish_ci,COERCIBLE) for operation '='
Error Number : 1267
