Free Subscriptions for selective usergroups
Heya,
I am looking for a way either by a mod or using the default VB (3.6.8) to add some sorta free subscriptions for members of selected usergroups (ie Power Users) Basically on our forums, we allow members with more than 100 posts to sign up if they wish for "extended services" for example webspace, or email addresses at our domain. As these have to be manually created, we would rather users opt in if they wish to use them, rather than signing every member up. We cant really use an automated script for sign up, as we use Google Apps for Email, and webspace is manually created in both the FTP Server and Apache. I noticed vbulletin supports paid subscriptions, but this would instead be a free subscription. Then once they "opt" for it, we would like either an email or pm or some other notification to us so we can create the accounts and PM them the information. We currently use vbadvanced with an iframe page which can only be seen if they are logged in and in a certain user group. We then use a simple PHP form to sign up for the services, but we would like to integrate it with there user accounts, so they don't have to enter there username, and its automatically submitted with there request. (We plan to only give them there registered username @ our domain or users.domain.com/username for webspace ) Does anyone know of a way to either create a free subscriptions in vbulletin which doesnt even attempt to take them to PayPal (as its free) or a modification which could offer it? If no solution exists, we would be willing to pay an agreed fee for such a modification. Cheers (Sorry if I posted this in the wrong area, this looked the best place to ask) Thanks, Andy. |
