I recently became part owner of a forum and whilst looking around noticed quite a few duplicate posts by diff people

Just wondered if theres a double thread hack so it will automaticlly check for a double threads and either merge them or delete one of the thread,

I could have sworn there was one, but doing a quick search didn't show me one. You might want to try searching yourself. The search bar is above - try searching with "double" or "post" in All Mods (do you know what version vb you are running?) and Post Titles only and see if what you want comes up.

The problem may be trying to figure out which one to delete. Even if one has no responses, the other may be in the proper forum.

We have a rule against cross-posting and I think with a little bit of enforcement double posts shouldn't be a problem.

they are posting in multiple forums the same post, even though i have the similar threads hack on

Are these spam posts or posts by good members? Perhaps making a thread about not cross-posting or perhaps increasing the time limit between posts will help cut down on this.
