My site seems quite slow

my site seems to have slowed down quite a bit recently, anything i can do speed it up?

Basically just about every single image on your site, needs to be optimized

When you create your images, make sure when you save them you are saving them for web use. There is a Save for Web action in photoshop and I would guess in other image applications also.

Plugins will slow down your site. So, if you want to speed it up, reduce the number of plugins used, especially ones that make lots of queries.

Your free chat widget had problems on two of the clicks I went through. That may be causing you some problems.

Overall, the speed didn't seem that bad to me. Are you are on shared server? Perhaps another site is slowing you down just at high peak times.

no, not on a shared server, i think i'll uninstall the chat box it was installed a few weeks ago but dosent get used anyway
