I'm trying to record userids of deleted members so I can remove them from my other mailing-lists when my lists sync (in the next 24 hours).I plan to
To avoid re-inventing the wheel , I was wondering if their was another vB table which records recently-deleted members.Thanks. |

Could you explain why you want to delete users? (I am not aware of vb storing them)
Secondly, were it me and assuming you are using mysql v5 or better I would set it up as a trigger, and avoid any code mods altogether. |

No, deleted members are not logged by default, other then in the Admin log.

there is no record of that actually, but as you indicated yourself, it would be easy to create such a log, simply by creating a table with the needed data, and when the user is deleted, entering its username, dateline etc would make it easy to track... even add a hook to ensure that nobody ever use that username again is possible and easy.

Might have to do some more work on it, but I think this would be an easier solution. With regards to the earlier comment about using mysql triggers.I was tempted to do so, but was urged by my department to seek a vB method, rather than resort to hacks. Haven't found a relevant hook yet, but I'd appreciate any suggestions regarding one. Thanks! |
