anyone else having problems with Site5 ? · **Released**: 12-03-2007

It seems like I have been getting extended periods of database errors every other day for a while. I've had problems maybe every few weeks for a year it seems, but it's really gotten bad lately.

My site usually doesn't have more than 50 users on at a time. The folks who respond to my ticket say that it is just occasional load issues.

Anyone else having problems?

I have been having a lot of the same problems and they never explain what is going on. I am looking to switch. Any suggestions?

I have 2 seperate accounts with Site5 ... one has the same problems as you are talking about and it started happening when "The Planet" acquired Site5 and moved that particular server to the datacenter in Houston.

The other server I have runs like a dream.. it has been down 4 times in 2 years (all scheduled), for hardware upgrades (processors, ram and new drives)..

Both are MultiHost plans, so they are on better hardware platforms with a limited amount of accounts...

IMHO, when the Planet acquired them, things went south pretty darn fast.

Database errors every other day is just occasional load issues? I think its time to switch the host.
