Well I decided to start running a VB site again after a bit of a sabattical but now I have no idea what host to go with.
I had aplus.net but won't go with them again. I am looking for something in the $100 a month or less range with MySQL and 500-1000 gigs a month bandwith running windows sever 2003. Plesk control panel is also a plus.
Anyone have any recommendations? The ability to upgrade to unmetered bandwith in the future would be a nice bonus.

we face probs on powweb.com /sitegound.com / bluehost.com /godady.com
powweb : its good . but u cant run vb3.6.4 [so we moved]
siteground.com : they will say u manythings. Never trust. We ketp 2 host un-used there. boz of they are no use for anything.
bluehost: there main probs is SQL connection time out. They dont allow standard time.
absolutely stay away from powweb, they cant service their existing companies, let me tell you, I was down on average of 2 days a month the whole year I was with them, I now have my own server so let me know, lots of space and very fast bandwidth
I use Surpass hosting. They rule. I've been on dreamhost before (saw it above) and it was always up and down on me.
Even better, surpass is running a hosting deal this month, 1 year of any shared hosting plan for $1. You seriously can't go wrong. And they've been so stable and fast to reply whenever I had trouble (their firewall blocked me for connecting too many times once! lol)
$1 for 1 year. I wouldn't pass that opportunity up if you payed me!
My time with bluehost is coming to an end, I get constant sql errors. On a daily basis my server gets restarted due to the vbulletin. Apparently they seem to have a problem with vb. They also tell me that they cant seem to figure out why they have these problems. A while back my site crashed, I call bluehost to ask them to install my latest backup. They did, but it had corrupt files in it. They went to tell me that every backup they had, had corrupt files in it. I ask why it had corrupt files in it. They informed me that it was due to a bad hard drive in there system. They also told me that I would have to rebuild without using anything from that folder. I was upset, I had 1000's of combined hours, lost...many many post/threads, Countless mods/hacks installed. All lost. Now I'm in fear of this happening again.
Contact Joey at Real Web host, I had alot of problems in the past with hosts and there very good with this VB software. And very quick at there technical assistance, In fact I was suprised to get Joey when I called one day. I just moved over to a dedicated server and they did all the tranfer and helped me alot. realwebhost.com check them out, if your inquiring let Joey know I reffered you over. I would like him to know how much I have appreciated all of his commitment to his customers.
RON
I took Ron's suggestion and went with RealWebHost.com and I have been very pleased. I set up my vBulletin site there:
They were up-to-date on latest versions of whatever was needed for vBulletin and WordPress. I had a couple of support questions and they answered them promptly and professionally. (I needed support due to my lack of knowledge--nothing was wrong on their end).
We can host you and at a very reasonable price. www.xzorbix.com
We are also currently running a 50% off special offer to celebrate the christmas period.
We use http://www.booyahhosting.com/ hosting, mainly due to the superb support and the dude running it knowing forum software back to front. He helped do our vBulletin settings when we got hopelessly tangled up with permissions.
They tend to go the extra mile for ya and go well beyond the call of duty.
