Requests For Paid Services: Post Reply -> Send PM
In the Requests For Paid Services section, the Post Reply button should be changed to a button that send the topic-starter a PM (since it's useless to all but the topic-starter); or perhaps add another button next to the Post Reply with Reply PM or something to that effect... or just remove the button for users that can't take advantage of it.

It would be nice if there was a button in that forum to PM the user, with RE: [Thread Subject] and a link to the thread already inserted into the message box.
I think the reply button however is needed for the topic starter to reply to their own thread.. |

Just click on the username in the postbit - sending a PM is one of the options (standard functionality).

Gear's suggestion can be done with a simple conditional in the showthread template to switch from a button to the other, with the proper link edited...
btw, there is already tons of templates edits here..lol |

That is why we probably will not go duplicate functions that are already available. No need to create even more edited templates.

By that same argument, why not use the (standard functionality) of vB to remove the Post Reply button to users that are unable to use it in the first place?

There is already an option in username link: Quote this post in a PM to {username}.
So I don't see a need for such a button. |
