Allow New Posts But Not New Threads

Hi guys,

Just did a search on this but didn't find anything. Is there a way to allow members to post replies to threads but not allow them to post new threads? I'm look at the forum options and only see how to completely eliminate new posts. But I'd like people to be able to respond to threads, just not post new threads. That possible?

Can I do that for a specific forum though? Because I have different forums where users will be allowed to post new threads. This just applies to one forum only. So is there a way I can edit a usergroup permission for just one forum?

Yes. Go into AdminCP -> Usergroups -> Forum Permissions and set the relevant "custom" permissions per usergroup at each forum you require. These cutom settings override the default settings you apply via the Usergroup definition itself, so it gives you a finer amount of control.
