Nostalgia

What types of things such as toys, shows, smells, foods and places make you feel nostalgic?

My grandparents raised me and the smell of her house has never changed, since I was a little girl. It's not your typical old people smell though (my grandma is only 62 so she's hardly considered 'old' anyhow ) but it always smells like fresh, homemade food and just this certain comforting smell of 'home'.

A lot of the rainbrow brite and strawberry shortcake era shows and toys remind me of being a kid since I watched those movies almost daily when I was little

It's always songs that get me, I can relate loads of songs back to an exact moment in my life

Not sure... I don't usually get emotional over the past. Probably because we moved quite a few times between elementary school and graduating from High School. My grandmother's house always smelled of coffee though. She would have it brewing constantly. She didn't bake much but then she didn't leave the workforce until she was in her late 70s before that she raised 10 kids as a single mother. Afterwards she would watch a dozen or so grandkids at a time. Before there were seatbelt laws, she would easily put 15 of us in her car and take us to the park. So I guess that is the main nostalgic thing right now.
