Anyone here play poker?
Hey,
Just wondering if anyone here plays poker? Do you play online or live games? What limits do you play? If anyone is up for a game on a room let me know I play daily on a few rooms. |

I play No Limit, because that's what I learned to play when I first started playing poker. I never bothered to learn the others because we always played no limit. I'm pretty darn good too. We've done a few home tournies with 25+ people and I've come in the top 2-3 each time. I've played some online poker but I've found that people online tend to really piss me off because there are some jokers who like to just keep going all in for every single hand, and not play the game how it's supposed to be played (seriously). So, I prefer to play in person I do love poker though.

Where are you playing and what limits? That's the typical thing to happen in freerolls and very low limit games online, but not in regular games. I hate players that do that! In the normal games though, its very rare for players to go all-in. Quote:

I've played online through pokerstars and espn and I think another one called paradise poker, but this was before it was illegal to bet real money online. My husband plays with a site called bet US or something to that effect and they allow you to bet real money plus they send you a free calendar with every single sports event known to man marked on there, oh and lots of almost naked girlies. |

I love poker but don't play much online stuff because, as said before, everyone tends to just go "All in" rather than play properly...

I'm sure John is playing all day long... buying and selling poker websites is also playing poker, without cards...
i personally never play poker or anyother game where money is on the table... you do not play poker just for the fun of it... it's not Go Fish... the more complicated are the goals in a game, the more money you put on the table. and when there is a legal situation on a game, it indicates that some people can be completely crazy playing at it.... the casinos are illegals in a lot of places for that reason... even online... the guys from "Golden Palace" are now facing the laws because it was found they were hosted and managed from a federal indian reserve in Canada... illegal... anyway, anything online can be illegal... -- even my blog could be ! the only card games i play are with my kids... i do not have time to play otherthings.... |

I play daily online at fulltiltpoker.net - Mostly playing some small sit&go tournaments (1-5$). But I definately prefer to play on live tables where you actually can "read" your opponents

I play mostly online now but for several years I ran a home game that regularly had 25 players start in the tournaments. We also did larger tournaments with up to 80 players at the local gun club. My first vBulletin forum (recently sold) was poker related for our area and called WNYPoker.com (Western New York Poker). The site activity is way down since I sold it. *sigh* I play on Full Tilt now, and occasionally on Poker Stars or Bodog (I hate the bodog poker interface!).
