Can anyone give me an idea as to whether EACCELERATOR is a good thing to have installed while running vbulletin?

Does it help with performance? Do you use it? Why or why not?

Nope, I use Xcache - IMO it works better than eaccelerator, and you can also use it for the datastore.

I think you will find threads on eAccelerator, xCache and others on vbulletin.com forums.

Right.U have to uninstall it or u can disable it via php.ini
