rebuild forum ..
Hi all folks ..
Other question maybe someone can help .. non intensional I erase my public_html folder .. I keep my DB intact .. but after upload again all my folders still missing somethings and the cpanel folder .. If I install the vBulletin forum again .. I can save all my configs and settings ? thanks in advance .. all comments are higly apreciated ! |

All your settings are saved in the database. You do need to modify the config.php file to have information about the database name and a few other things, but most settings are in the database.
You will need to talk to your host about restoring the cpanel folder, but the forum folder can be restored by you. Oh, do you have your avatars/profiles/attachments stored in the database or in the file system? If they are in the file system and you deleted that folder, then the only way to get them back is to have a backup. I STRONGLY suggest you set up some sort of automatic backup system for your site. |

My hosting cpanel it's wrking perfect .. just my vBulletin cpanel went out ( with the entire folder ) I haven't any bacup coz my forum was under configuration at this time ( friday ) coz only have one day of age :erm: ( thrusday ) I go to run the install again and let the database as is .. tha't the better/right way to do ? thanks again .. |
