How to schedule maintenance tasks

We'd like to automate the maintenance tasks of "rebuild similar threads" and "update user names". Could someone please explain how to do this from the scheduled task manager?

There is no real reason to run these taks on a regular basis. They should only be ran if needed.

We have a bridge that creates an account in vb when the user registers on our site. The "newest user" feature doesn't update, and the user's posts show them as "guest" until we run "update user name" from the update counters section of the admincp.

This is why we'd like to schedule this to run every 10-15 minutes or so. Possible?

This only means that your custom script is not creating accounts correctly.

Solution would be to update your script. Try rewriting it to use the vB DataManagers as they already take care of inserting a new account correctly.
