When people register they see a message saying they will be sent an email and they must answer the email to activate their account.
I get many people complaining they can't post and it is almost always because they did not read this and did not activate their account. I need to edit this message to try to make it more "In your face". I need to tell them to check their bulk email folder if they use Yahoo and I need to have it translated into Chinese. I have searched all through the control panel options, I have searched all the files and templates and even the database but I cannot find it. Can somebody please tell me where this message is and also the message that is shown when they do activate their account? |

Search the phrases for part of the message using the ACP Phrase Manager. IIRC it is the registeremail phrase you want to edit.

I would suggest turning it off and installing the nospam add on. This way 'lazy' users don't need to activate their account and more chance of them posting.
As for the template I am not sure sorry. |

Use the Search in Phrases copy in some of the text and hit search and it should produce a list of phrases which contain the text, you can then edit it.
EDIT: Looks like someone else beat me to it, bugger! |

Thanks Guys. I should have asked before I wasted so much time searching.
I have edited the phrase but I will now look for the nospam add-on as suggested by cjshirlaw. This sounds like a very good suggestion. |
