Can I remove the .tar on the server once the games are installed? To get some freespaces.

You can also delete the contents of the GAME DATA folder that is WITHIN the TAR folder. Make sure you are deleting forum/arcade/tar/game data and not the game data that is in the arcade's root.

The one in the TAR folder is a temporary usage and not all games clean out their temp files while being installed.
