Detecting forum directory

I have a site that has vbulletin integrated with vbadvanced, vbadvanced links, and also PhotoPost classifeds, which is all working perfectly. However, my primary template shows some options on it in the nav header that I only want to show if they are actually in the forums, not in any vba content or the classifieds site.

Is there any way to detect if it is currently in the forums with a conditional in the template to provide alternate content? Specifically, when not in the forums, i want to remove the buttons on the silver bar at the top, it is confusing:
