I have just switched to Vbulletin from phpbb and was kind of shocked to see that Vbulletin only shows the latest threads in RSS and JavaScript feeds!
There are few members on my forum that use RSS feeds and are logged in almost the entire day through their respective RSS feed managers. With phpbb mod that I had installed, fresh RSS feed was available as soon as a new post/topic was posted in the forum and it was convenient way of keeping track of all the posts. This is some thing my members are missing and want it back. So is there a hack or a way to: Ensure RSS feeds contain not only threads, but also new posts Fresh feed is available as soon as a new post is made. Also can it be done for JavaScript syndication as well or is there another way of displaying properly formatted latest posts on the html home page? |
