The only difference between what I'm having you do and what Loco is describing is that you'll only have native vB files in your forum's directory.

isn't that what i'm trying to accomplish though? native VB files so it's a completely clean start. then i can pull my users, posts, etc over during the impex. then i'll have NO mods done at all.

I said ONLY native vB Files, meaning that any additional files that came along with modifications (but are useless after they're uninstalled) or images and other miscellaneous data will be gone.

By uploading fresh vB files as I mentioned in Post #4, you are removing any file modifications you may have made.
