I've just set up the user reputation system on my vBulletin board, and a member added positive reputation on me and I've added positive reputation on him. Everyone's reputation was set at the default of 10 before we started.
So he adds rep to me, and my power goes up to 171, level goes up to 47. I wonder why my level went up with 37. Then his level increased with my reputation power so he's now got 181! I couldn't deduct this behavior from the documents! I've also set the administrator's reputation power from 10 to zero, which, according to the board help, disables the administrator's advantage. Now I'm really getting confused. Can't I limit the reputation I give out? |

Your reputation power settings are probally too low which is making them grow too quickly.

It also depends on your registration date and your post count. Those effect your repping power.

Ahh right, Nimrod, the registration date will have done it, and i altered that setting because most current active members aren't around that long yet - that was what Zachery meant I think. I'll take a look at the mod Gluxu referred to, thanks for the help.
