Ticket Support System
I've been looking around and there arn't any ticket support systems for 3.6. Does anyone know about a mod which works on 3.6 and has the facility of a ticket system.
I don't know there are any which are on 3.6 so if someone does know one could you please share it with me If there arn't many people are looking around for one and i'm sure people would be greatfull if someone had the time to either upgrade an older version or create a new mod which has a ticket support system. Kind regards, Clem |

I can't take any credit but this will help you out for now.
Help Desk for vBulletin Forums - How to I tried a few hacks from vB.org for this but end up doing my own... well, it isn't even a hack really, just use of the existing vB features. I thought I'd post this here in case users have not though of this in the past. - Create a new forum called "Help Desk". - In the settings make it so admin (and mod if you wish) can see all posts in there. - Change users permissions to only view threads started by them. Easy. Now you have a forum which to users only shows support questions they have asked. Staff see everything. Just close each thread when the support issue is resolved. I've been using this on my forums for a while now and it is proving very successful, much more so than the hacks on vb.org, plus I don't have to worry about vb updates braking it! |

Wow! You just saved me $300!! The other solutions available were overkill for what I needed. This is exactly what I need. I feel almost embarrassed I didn't think of this.

One small addition to Charlies Post.
Install the PREFIX Hack on your board and you can give status prefixes to this forum like: ON GOING, CLOSED, OPEN etc. This gives you and the user a better overview and makes filtering later on very easy :-) |
