Mod update notification does not work?
Maybe the problem is on my side, maybe not.
I was not online for some time but I have several mods installed. Today I came back and discovered that several mods were updated (Like the post thankyou hack, Ibank, Welcome headers) but I dit not get an email about the update. Do the authors need to push a button to send the update notice to everybody or is this happening automatically when updating the file attachment? Nevertheless, I've got 5 or 6 mods which are updated now and not a single notification of update was send. Some time ago this worked perfectly, I didn't even had to be subscribed to the thread, only have the "mark installed" button pushed, which I did. How can I fix this? Or must this be fixed by the vbulletin.org? |

the update comes when the author send an update message, not when the files are updated...

Yeah, the Author has to manually decide that he/she wants to send an update and fill out the Update form, once he submits that the update mails are sent out to all those who have installed.

Thank you for the quick answers. I understand now.
However when posting this message I choose (in the pulldown under the new thread) to get instant email notification of any answers but it seems that did not work. When now looking under "subscribed threads", it seems that there is no subscribtion to this thread. It's already the second forum running on vbulletin software where this happened, and that's odd. |

Ah I just went looking if it was a known bug so I don't have to look anymore.
Thanks for the quick reply again! |
