What is the best way to get people to see your forums and register. My problem is, is that my forums are small right now and people see the few posts/threads/ members and don't want to join. I know this because when my forum is private (only registered people can view it) there are more registrations. I want to leave it public though for it can be indexed on the search engines.

What are the best mods out there for this? Let me know what you think.

You have to build content on your site that will attract people. Once you do that and the search engine spiders start to crawl your site, people will register.

there are some Fake Community Stat mod for VB but i'm not sure if using it is a good idea. The best way to attract new members are to have real activities with interesting contents.

Even if you use some mod to make it looks like your forum has tons of members....the new members will find out really soon and NEVER COME BACK.

Take a look at my forum...i'm trying to keep it active everyday. Keep your guests something to read.
