Hello all, first post here, I am the owner of http://www.notoriouswrestling.com and am having a few small issues that although not major would probably help the forum if they were resolved.
Firstly, when a new thread is posted I get an error message that is as follows: http://img112.imageshack.us/img112/5012/untitledmk1.jpg But the thread is still posted. I have tried replacing the files and have reinstalled vB twice now so I feel there may be more to it. Also, when a new post is made, you get the message that there has been a duplicate and are taken back to the start of the thread as opposed to your post. The final problem I have is that it isn't possible to use avatars at all for any members of the forum. I look forward to responses and apologise if I posted this in the wrong section. Edit: I find I need the following file: vba_cmps_plugin_newpost.php Yeah that's where I'm stuck. |

I'm guessing you've installed vBAdvanced? The file should be located in /plugins/ or similar.

I installed the version 3.6.7 that I got off the vB site... I didn't know there was an advanced and not so advanced.

I believe your problem is that one of your templates has code in it for vbadvanced, but you do not have vbadvanced installed.
To verify this, view your forum with the default vbulletin skin (no template edits at all). If you do not have errors, then it's most likely the skin you are using. You could try downloading the skin from http://www.vbskinworks.com (assuming you purchased it there you should be allowed updates) PS: vba_cmps_plugin_newpost.php is NOT a vbulletin stock file. It's part of http://www.vbadvanced.com. I mention that because if you know you didn't install it, perhaps someone tried, and never finished. |

Does anyone have any ideas on my avatar problem, I think it should be simple. |

I would have to look at your templates to see if other modifications were made that would affect your avatars / posting issues... it sounds like your templates were modified (perhaps it was used on another forum or something... ) and the edits are something you are not aware of.... hard to tell without seeing what version they are compared to your vb version, and if there is code to mods that don't exist, or lines removed that should in fact be there...

Would it help if I linked you to the templates or something so you could have a look at them?
