I know the title is a little misleading but what I would like to do is to have all my threads/posts never expire and remain in the main forum as well as in the archive.
If I'm not wrong, on some boards, I see threads moved from the main forum into archives after a certain duration. I want my threads to remain in full view of my members. How can I achieve this? |

There are no separate archives with vb. Users can choose to see threads posted since whenever.

Using vb.org's forum as an example, I have attached a screenshot to explain.
If you noticed, there are posts and threads on the main forum. If let's say there is a period of inactivity or when the forum slows down, you will notice that the post count and thread count will reduce after a certain duration of time. I've seen this in a few boards that I frequent. Is there a way to stop this? |
