Description:
iTrader for vB 3.5.x & 3.6.x has evolved from Trader Ratings for vB 3.0.x which evolved from Buy/Sell/Trade User Rating System for vB 2.x. This is a rating system for when members buy / sell / trade items from each other (presumably on a FS section of your forum). It is somewhat based on the honor system since there is no automatic way to truly tell if they did engage in a transaction. iTrader came about because it was a pain to try and maintain a single thread listing good / bad traders and so far has worked out quite well.

Features:
  • Rate another member: Positive / Negative / Neutral
  • Specify in each transaction: Buyer, Seller, or Trade
  • Leave multiple comments about the deal
  • Dates & IPs are all recorded to prevent abuse
  • Specify a thread URL to the deal
  • Advanced URL checking
  • Display ratings over time
  • Filter based on Buyer/Seller/Trade/or feedback they left for others
  • Users can edit/delete ratings left for others (time based limitation)
  • iTrader Admins can edit/delete anyone's ratings (just incase)
  • PM notification when new rating or comment is left
  • Per-usergroup permissions
  • Lots of admin controllable options

Installation / Upgrade Info:
Read the included readme file, it explains everything.

Standard Disclaimer:
BACKUP YOUR DATABASE & FILES BEFORE IMPLEMENTING THIS HACK!!!

Donations:
This add-on will always be free, however your donations are kindly accepted and will help towards further development. The link is on the right under "The Developer" info.

Future Additions:
  • AdminCP & ModCP Menus for searching IPs, stats, mass-prune, etc
  • Better navigation across pages
  • Better error descriptions
  • Adjust action icons some
  • Page to link two ratings manually
  • AdminCP Option to choose how ratings are ordered (asc or desc by time)
  • AJAX editing

Release History:
2.0.1 - December 18, 2005
2.0.0 - December 14, 2005

I have a couple of questions.

-In this option: Strict URL Checking
Is there a way to edit this? ?ensure that the hostname matches up with this forum and at least one of the two people in the deal was the person who created the thread? so that only the forum ID would be needed?

-Is there a way to remove the neutral option?

-Is there a way to display a list somewhere on the forum of all the members who received points classified by rating?

Thanks, this is a GREAT mod.

I don't understand how to install this. It doesn't work.

Does it work with board: 3.6.6?

Also, I am so confused of how to do this. This is what I have done in order:

-> Uploaded all files to respective folders through my FTP Client
-> Went into ACP and then went into plugin manager: uploaded product.xml

*problem*: Says it is not a plugin but a product, use product manager -> I used product manager and got the product.xml file going.

However, what in the world is: Paste your PHP that you want to be executed. The title, description of the product. I thought that would fill out by itself? Also, because I had no clue what I was doing, I found my itrader.php file and then copied and pasted the contents into the "PHP that you want executed" box.

-> Step told me to go and change usergroup settings and either: turn off access for all users then iTrader option would appear.. Or he meant: there is an off button that you should turn on... (undescriptive readmes ftl)

-> I found nothing on iTrader, even with find tool nothing on it in my ACP as of that step, or even in my usergroup permissions areas.

What is going on! What am I doing wrong. Please help, I've been going nuts for a few days now and I have been posting on dozens of forums with NO response.

Im getting crazy here... I clicked on Install but Havent been able to make it work

I uploaded all the files, modified the usergroups, turning the itrader to on, now the templates. What and where do I do all that?
I am not a coder so please like other addons they explain very clear how to edit, step by step, no like "on the nav bar put the code wherever you want" I tried and obviously wherever I want doesnt work

Under the avatar on each user doesnt show anything yet, and I have no idea how to ad feedback to a person.

Help please before I uninstall it , looks nice but Im am trying to translate language that I have no idea what it is.

Did you read through this thread? Several people posted this several times, but I'll copy/paste the info for you.

To add to your member list.
In memberlist_resultsbit
Find:
HTML Code:
<a href="member.php?$session[sessionurl]u=$userinfo[userid]">$userinfo[musername]</a>
After add:
HTML Code:
&nbsp;(<strong><a href="itrader.php?$session[sessionurl]u=$userinfo[userid]">$userinfo[itrader_total]</a></strong>)
------------------------------------------------------------
To add to your navbar. (This will take members to their own iTrader Page.)
In navbar
Find:
HTML Code:
<tr><td class="vbmenu_option"><a href="member.php?$session[sessionurl]u=$bbuserinfo[userid]">$vbphrase[my_profile]</a></td></tr>
After add:
HTML Code:
<tr><td class="vbmenu_option"><a href="$vboptions[bburl]/itrader.php?$session[sessionurl]">My iTrader</a></td></tr>
------------------------------------------------------------
To add to postbit
In postbit_legacy
Find:
HTML Code:
<div>$vbphrase[posts]: $post[posts]</div>
After add:
HTML Code:
<div>iTrader: <strong><a href="itrader.php?$session[sessionurl]u=$post[userid]">$post[itrader_total]</a></strong> / $post[itrader_pcnt]% </div>
------------------------------------------------------------
In postbit
Find:
HTML Code:
<div>
$vbphrase[posts]: $post[posts]
</div>
After add:
HTML Code:
<div>iTrader: <strong><a href="itrader.php?$session[sessionurl]u=$post[userid]">$post[itrader_total]</a></strong> / $post[itrader_pcnt]% </div>
------------------------------------------------------------
To have your postbit links only show up in specific forums, use the following conditionals with the above postbit chages.
For single forum:
HTML Code:
<if condition="$thread[forumid] == xx">ITRADER CODE HERE</if>
For mutiple forums:
HTML Code:
<if condition="in_array($thread[forumid],array(xx,xx))">ITRADER CODE HERE</if>
Replace "xx" with your forum id's.
------------------------------------------------------------
To add a link or button in it's own column in the memberlist
In memberlist
Find:
HTML Code:
<td class="thead" align="$stylevar[left]" nowrap="nowrap"><a href="$sorturl&amp;order=ASC&amp;sort=username&amp ;pp=$perpage$usergrouplink">$vbphrase[username]</a> $sortarrow[username]</td>
After add:
HTML Code:
<td class="thead" nowrap="nowrap">iTrader</td>
In memberlist_resultsbit
Find:
HTML Code:
<tr align="center">
<td class="alt1Active" align="$stylevar[left]" id="u$userinfo[userid]">
<a href="member.php?$session[sessionurl]u=$userinfo[userid]">$userinfo[musername]</a>
<if condition="$show['usertitlecol']"><div class="smallfont">$userinfo[usertitle]</div></if>
</td>
After add:
HTML Code:
<td class="$bgclass">(<strong><a href="itrader.php?$session[sessionurl]u=$userinfo[userid]">$userinfo[itrader_total]</a></strong>) / $userinfo[itrader_pcnt]%</td>
If you want an button instead of a text link showing current score, add this instead of the above:
HTML Code:
<td class="$bgclass"><a href="itrader.php?$session[sessionurl]u=$userinfo[userid]"><img src="$stylevar[imgdir_button]/itrader.gif" alt="itrader.gif" title="Submit feedback for $userinfo[username]" border="0" /></a></td>
Make a button "itrader.gif" and upload it to your button directory. I made a button for those of you using the default template.

------------------------------------------------------------
To add to member profile
In MEMBERINFO
Find:
HTML Code:
<if condition="$vboptions['usereferrer']">
<div class="fieldset">
<div style="padding:$stylevar[formspacer]px">
$vbphrase[referrals]: <strong>$referrals</strong>
</div>
</div>
</if>
After add:
HTML Code:
<div class="fieldset">
<div style="padding:$stylevar[formspacer]px">
iTrader: <strong><a href="itrader.php?$session[sessionurl]u=$post[userid]" rel="nofollow">$post[itrader_total]</a></strong> / $post[itrader_pcnt]%
</div>
</div>
(This came from a zip that a member so generously shared w/ everyone)

I know he said he was going to be busy, but, before I put this on and shift all our members to it, I'd like to have a sense of whether this will be supported going forward. He hasn't been on vborg since March?
