Images and fixed width

Do you know if there are any mods/plugins that do server side resizing?

I`ve seen a couple of mods that resize larger images, but they use javascript which works on the client side. Doesn`t help if someone has javascript disable for some reason.

Failing that, is there anything that uses the SMF idea of creating frames/scroll bars around oversize images, thus it doesn`t break the layout of a fixed width board?
