BOTM comments?
I had some comments on the BOTM nominations, and I noticed you can't put them in the poll thread as you do with MOTM. I wasn't sure where to put them... do I just keep silent (not my strong suit )

That really depends on the nature of the comments.
If you have generic comments about the process then fine, post them here. If you have specific comments about certain nominations then they should be addressed to the staff in a PM. Individual nominations are not up for public discussion. |

I wasn't intended to argue the nominations - I was just wanting to comment on the sites - explain my vote. You know "I voted for x because I really liked the way it xyz'd and I really liked y but it was just a little to slow to load for me and etc..."

We actually closed that poll for responses, as those responses are mostly nothing more then "I voted for X". Now that is a bit senseless, and leaning towards advertising, as you already stated your choice by voting on the poll.

Where as I can see your point of view, the natural instinct is to respond in the poll. Denying people the ability to express themselves publicly (the vote is anonymous) is unhealthy for everyone, and unfair to the board owner who won't get the feedback, even if it is mostly "I voted for x". Just my 2 cents.

The BOTM poll is not a feedback thread. If you want feedback, post in the Community Reviews forum.

A poll is by it's very nature a feedback thread. But, I've said my part Do with it as you will.
