Close thread when x posts are reached

If there was a mod that say made a thread close when it reach x posts that would be cool.

I don't think so btu a mod can tell us, as it would be great as if for examp[le, my members were creating a thread game entitled abc #1, the mod could close the thread when say 1000 posts were reached and make a post saying "This thread continues here" witha link to a new thread that was created entitled abc #2 for example.
