How to use a backup

I ran into a problem installing my forums. When i installed them i forgot to change my path form armyselite.315posers.com to armyselite.com. I believe it's called the BBURL. If you know how to fix my problem then please tell me. If not will you please tell me how to take my old backup and put it on a newly installed version of vb. Thank you.

see i've done that and it still has login problems, I have no clue why.

What kind of login problems?

Also reset the Cookie Path & Domain back to their default in your vBulletin Options.

were exactly do i reset cookies and every thing at.

well when i installed it i believe i put the wrong path in. I think i put armyselite.com and not http://armyselite.com would that matter if so would some one take a look at it. I am extremely new to this vb and i have no clue on what I'm doing. My url is www.armyselite.com. Just pm soulweaver and I will give you what ever you need to check things out.

To repeat my question: What kind of login problems?

Do you have problems logging into the forum or only AdminCP? What happens when you try to login to the AdminCP? Do you get an errror?

No, like when you go to armyselite.com, and you log in. Well when you click on the forum page it makes you log in again. Then when you get to the forum homepage, (www.armyselite.com/forum). Every now and then the page will turn into www.armyselite.315posers.com/forum, and when it does it makes you log back in. All of my members are complaining. If you know whats wrong please help thanks.

Looks to me like you have an old .htaccess file in your forumhome directory that is redirecting you to http://www.armyselite.315posers.com/forum if you do not provide a filename.

http://www.armyselite.com/forum <-- will redirect to http://www.armyselite.315posers.com/forum
http://www.armyselite.com/forum/index.php <-- will not go to the other domain.

so how do i fix it and what file do you think it is.

my .htaccess folder is blank. Nothing is in it at all, is that ok. And it's in the armyselite folder not the forum folder

I also just learned that this error allows people that are banned to log into the site. All they have to do is put www.armyselite.315posers.com and they can log in and do what they want.
