To stay logged in, check the Remember Me box when logging in.

You can see in the legend in the bottom of a forum, if you have posting permissions or not.

Thanks Marco, sometimes that works - sometimes it doesn't - when travelling using internet cafes there is often a problem - login and get welcome, then try to post - and get "you don't have permission"
