Piracy

Well, once again I was looking through my forum statistics and at the sites which are linking to me and followed one of them, leading me to a site with a bunch of vBulletin.org hacks provided.

They claim that they aren't guilty of anything or something like that, since they don't provide the hacks themselves, but hosted on other sites.
They are linking to them and they are discussing them as well as illegal copies of vB (I already reported the site).
One of their main rules is also that official people from vB or sites which work against piracy aren't allowed to sign up and are breaking the law if they do, since they would be violating the ToS

Anyway, that's not the only site I've found which is providing hacks, I also found others and actually reported them, but I was told that the coders are the only ones which can take care of their hacks being provided since they are the copyright holders.

Now TBH I'm rather clueless what to do.
I don't want people who don't own a vB license to be able to get the chance to download my hacks from somewhere else, I only posted them on vB.org for a reason.

I don't really know what to do now, any help on how I could take action?

I also saw other hacks from here on this site, so I thought about contacting the actual authors (which I might finally do).

Anyway, what do you do if you find your hacks on a site where they aren't meant to be?

Personally I don't do anything, since I provide them free I'm not losing anything (whereas trying to take legal action most certainly would cost me money).

The only thing I don't do is provide support anywhere else other than here.

You can threaten legal action, which is normally enough to scare off the paranoid pirates...

As for "being illegal" for Official or anti-piracy people to sign up? The TOS would be thrown out in any courtroom, so they can believe that they are safe... That just makes it funnier when they get taken down
