I was wondering that if I buy a Virtual Dedicated Server if it's possible to set up Cpanel onto it and host sites?

Yes....

Usually hosts will offer a control panel with A VPS. Just pick one offering cPanel.

Best place(s) for servers I have been.
I started off with a VPS for my forum @ Kevhosting.com the support is just well.. go find out.
And then for dedis Dediwebhost.com is the muts nuts

The thing about cpanel is it needs 256mb minimum, a lot of it is bloatware. I went with directadmin and it offers just what I need and is low on resources.
