Display Active Users on index.html page
First, I have tried searching the forum but I was not able to find what I was looking for, if this has been posted I apologize and hope that you will be able to point me in the right direction.
I would like to display the users who are currently active, or logged in, on the homepage (index.html) and include any special color codes (Admin, Mod, etc) that may be assigned to the username. Does anyone have any info on how to get this done or where I might be able to look to get the information that I need to implement this on my own? I am familiar with embedding PHP code into HTML so that is not a problem for me. Thanks in advance for any replies and I am very appreciative of your time! |

If you are linking to a template in vbulletin, the phrase are looking for is $activeusers - Just insert that into the HTML where you want it to appear.

I'm actually looking for something that is more like external.php becuase my index.html file is nothing but HTML code and it's not doing any linking to templates.

In order to display activeusers you'd either need to make it a PHP file or work with vBExternal by Zero Tolerance, but even that requires a .php ending file name.
PM me if you need more help clr_75, if possible I can probably break this down nice and simple if we chat one on one. |

Thanks for the info! I'm looking at the vbExternal now and this just might be what I was looking for, Thanks again!
That vbExternal worked for me, Thanks for the suggestion! I was able to integrate it into my .html file, you just need to make sure that your server is setup to handle embedded php with an html file. Thanks again! |
