How to NOT have the smilies code parse...

I'm working on a stealth skin for my forum. For this style only, I would like to turn off the parsing for smilies, so the code shows instead of the images. The only thing I've been able to figure out is how to remove the images entirely. But I'd still like the code, if possible.

Doable?
