registrations & user titles

Hey everyone, I have a question that I hope someone can help with. I can't seem to figure it out looking at the database comparing old members from new.

Members who used to signup appear normal in posts where you can click their username and go to their profile or see the menu that pops up, etc.

Since another programmer fixed the forum integration all members that have registered don't have that. You can tell who's old and new in the forum because the old people have the normal clickable title whereas all new members don't. You don't see their usertitle either and I know for a fact we are including a usertitle for each member in our registration code.

Are they able to edit their usertitle manually and have it display?
