Is it possible to have the first post in a thread appear with a set of pre-defined text in it? I require all new users to make their first post in an Introduction forum, and am considering this to help pull some teeth out of the introductions:
New Post: Name Games you play Mac/LINUX/Windows etc... The users could remove the pre-text, i just want to help those unsure of what to post down the path. Thanks for any suggestions |

Any suggestions on giving the users a post with some pre filled out information in one forum?

One thing you could do is post a sticky in the Introduction forum with a link to a premade form that users can fill out. This is fairly simple if you use the Form Hack. You can set it so the form information is posted as a thread. For extra awesomeness you could remove permission to make new threads in the forum and only allow replies so people don't post a intro thread incorrectly.
