Paypal Verification
I saw that informing your Paypal details makes your modifications topics show a "paypal verification" link with your email to everyone to see. This Paypal idea is awsome, but Im worried on people getting your email to put it on spam lists. Is that link shown to everyone or just to me?

The verification link is visible only to licensed members.

Do you need a Business Account on Paypal or will a Personal Account do?

You can also add a junk email to your paypal account and just use that.

I think adding a junk mail account to your PayPal is the best option. AFAIK it will have to show the email address as this is how PayPal links to your account. But maybe we can come up with a way to hide it a bit better somehow.

Hey, I already asked this and nobody replied! Oh well, I'll just take it here...
If it only shows up to licenced members then I don't see why it needs hiding better. I was just bothered about it being harvested. However, for the record PayPal do offer an encrytped link option. It's somewhere in the options to set up a donate button on their site. My other note was that once you have added your details to the donation options here, it appears to be impossible to remove them again. It just spits out an error telling you to fill all the fields in. |
