If so, reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server.

I had put define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true); right under <?php in config.php but still i get that error

Fatal error: Call to undefined function mksize() in D:\SERVER\xampp\htdocs\global.php on line 1883

Can you tell me what is the error means?
