Error Database
I recentely upgraded to the newest version of vBulletin. I accidentally changed the password on the "forums/include/config.php" database password section.
I chagned it back but then it didnt work and i jsut get an error message when i try to go to the forums on my site. I have a mysql but its on a godaddy manager site or something and im totally confused about the whole file. |

Did you delete the config file and then reupload a new one with the correct settings? Or did you just overwrite? Make sure to edit the latest config file too which is initially named config.php.new and save it as just config.php when you make your changes and then send it through your FTP.

THats probably the source of error right there..I dont really know though seeing how its not MY site, I just have access to almost everything. Umm the way its set up for mine is sitename_vb <<<Thats what our database was called. You should be able to find out by accessing your godaddy site manager.
What did it say on your previous config file? |

I don't have the previous config file unfortunately
I contacted go daddy, I will reply with what they said later. But ummm just curious, my mysql database is on another site, how does the config file find the database if its not on my local machine? Or do I have to download and install it on my computer and the forums will run off my comp? Or do I download mysqp, then upload it to the site? Or what? |
