Same file, different vB versions
What is the best way - or proper vb.org way - to deal with different versions of vBulletin that a product is released for but using exactly the same file(s)?
Assuming my 3.6x product works for 3.5, I'd like to post it in the 3.5 section as well so people don't miss it which they probably would. But I don't really want to maintain support, files & replies in two different threads for exactly the same thing. So is it OK to start an empty - preferably locked - thread in the 3.5 section telling people to download/request support from the 3.6 thread to let them know it's available? Or failing that...? |

At the moment you have two choices - maintain two threads, one for 3.6, one for 3.5, or just one thread with an extra zip for 3.5 in it as well. Note that product files in the 3.6 section must be 3.6 format, which means they won't import to a 3.5 forum.

Guess the two threads it is then, although that there a product differences between the two is news to me, is there anywhere I can see a list of what I need to take into account? I can't find any.
Thanks for your help. |

It has been. He was given the option to have one thread with two .zips, or two separate threads.
