The only reason why I was going to put in the path name was because it would be easier to remember without having to calculate the next set of letters if you know what I mean. I assume that this is ok?

Are you referring to the prefix, if so I think that's a slightly long naming system, better to use short prefixes, like aa, ab, ac etc. Just keep a record of what you used in a text/excel file.
