I wasn't entirely sure where to post this, but I'm sure someone here can help me.
I'm in the process of exploring various CMS systems right now. One of the biggest things for me though is to not have to have users register twice, and sign-in twice, between the CMS and the forums. I really want some sort of user sync. Does anyone have suggestions or can point me towards CMS's that have modules/extensions to help in this manner? I'm looking for a fairly robust CMS, capable of being used as a news and review site, with roles suchs as editors and authors, etc. I've looked at a few already, but I've really never used a standalone CMS and always done things like phpbb/ezPortal or vBB with vbAdvanced as my front page. But now I want something that is seperate from the forums for the most part but still connected at the user level. Joomla had an extension that handled some sort of sync'ing, but it was a paid module. I'm not opposed to that but am wondering what other options exist. |
