Vbindex 3.0 VS Vbadvanced
Hi, I would to know if Vbindex 3.0 and Vbadvanced got the same CMPS layout format? I tried to Vbindex 3.0 for 10 time but keep getting an error saying:
when I follow this link: http://www.khmerclub.org/forums/admincp/vbiupgrade.php Warning: main(.//functions_vbiupgrade.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /admincp/vbiupgrade.php on line 57 Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required './/functions_vbiupgrade.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php-4.4.2/lib/php') in /hermes/web04/b2126/pow.timmy408/htdocs/forums/admincp/vbiupgrade.php on line 57 I followed instruction from this link: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...59524&page=164 Last, I decided to download Vbadvanced. It seem everything is working fine but does vbadvanced able customize the thread in the homepage similar like this site http://www.khmerlife.com, which use Vbindex 3.0? If VBadvanced and Vbindex 3.0 perform the same function I dont have to tried intall again since is not working. Angkor |

Fist linking us to your adminCP area to view errors isnt going to do anything for us, or show any errors
vBIndex is for 3.0.x series of vBulletin, not 3.5.x or the 3.6 line up. There may be small code changes to make to get it to work with 3.5 you'll have to check out the vBindex thread and read it thru. I'm sure you can get your vBadvanced layout like that if you so wish, simply customize block locations and edit their templates. |

Thank for the info Ntfu2. I will check out the vbindex tread again to see if thre any other resolution that will work for 3.5X. If no result, I guess I will stick with vbadvanced. Thank. Angkor

i'm affraid there arent to many free portals out there right now for vBulletin owners.
paid ones include vBportal MKportal, and if you are lucky you maybe able to get a already made CMS to integrate in. Good luck |

Last time I checked MKPortal was free
http://www.mkportal.it/ I am using it on my SMF forum right now. I like the block system, but it seems to be a bit of a pain to admin. Once I finish my move to vB I may end up moving to another portal system. |

oops, thought you had to pay for mkportal
I just use vBAdvanced and modify the templates as its a native vBulletin coding, its a lil easier for myself. |

Do you familar with VBjournal? Where can I add a thread to display lastest journal and also show member profile, like the site similar above. Is this option can be done by VBadvanced or VBullentin? I'm very new to this stuff. Thank. Angkor
