Pre sale
Hello everyone
I dont know where to put this so, I am trying here. Its been just a few hours since I paid for vbulletin. I was really excited and had plans. I decided to go for the professional installation and thats where I have a problem. I could answer all the questions, except for the, the location of mysql, question. I have it as part of my hosting, but I dont know what they mean. To me it indicates there is some sort of url that goes there sort of like a ftp link. But I cannot find any link like that. I am hosted by lunar and have multiple domains. I consider my problem pre sale until vbulletin is installed. I am still looking forward to becoming active with vbulletin, and I am hoping this is just a glitch |

Welcome to the world of vBulletin ownership
The best thing to do if in doubt is to provide details in a support ticket linked to your professional installation service for your hosting control panel, or to contact your host to confirm the details before sending them in to support. Once you have the information it sits in a file and does it's job and next to never needs to be gone anywhere near unless you muve servers. Good luck with starting your community. peterska2 |

Yup, and I would advise just getting in touch with your host.
Ask them how to create a mysql database and confirm its location with them. It will probably be localhost but may be located on another server. This, and the name/password of the database is the info the vB team need, at a guess. |
