Hi peeps
Can some one please take a look at my attachment and let me know if the settings for exporting my database is correct...? I am only asking cause when i restore from a backup i get loads of these ? that show before a ? sign |

If you're opening the backups in a text editor, that's probably why. I get a lot of those too, but they always restore fine.

I assume you're using phpMyAdmin, right? When I get backups using that, I just select all the Tables, No Compression, and then Save as a File. If you're still getting those kind of errors, perhaps consider getting a backup using the Shell.

Yeah thats about what i do....
Using the shell i get whole sections worth of the gobbledegook i dont trust it, i mean when i see all that (looks like encryption) i bin it and use phpmyadmin thats the ony way i found that dont give me the gobbledegook although its giving them silly characters, it appears to be mostly when theres a £ sign though |
