Can someone explain the relationship between vb.org and vb.com? Is this a vb.com sponsored site? Are developers from vb.com also developers of hacks for vb.org? Running a whois search for vbulletin.com/vbulletin.org reveals the domains are both owned by Jelsoft, but I'm still a bit perplexed with the association between the two. I understand any code modifications to the baseline is outside the scope of vB.com, thus inquiries are directed here.
Obviously, I'm new to vB so your input is appreciated. |

Yes, I realize there are already topics out there, but searching for the exact topic doesn't give very good results.

vBulletin.com is the offical Jelsoft website for downloading and getting complete and full support from the true developers and support team of vBulletin. vBulletin.org is also a Jelsoft sponsered website, but instead of full-on support, it provides modifications for the vBulletin software, while it's developers join here, but are not required to remain active. All Black/Bold names are staff on vbulletin.com. The official developers of vBulletin aren't required to even bother with this website, though it does help as it's the official resource site. And to answer your first question, no. vBulletin developers mainly work with the actualy files, though some of them have developed hacks, and add-ons for vBulletin.
